      I got this to add a more plush option to my Nemo Astro insulated sleep pad. The pillowtop initially seems super thin and I was doubtful that it would add very much comfort but I tried it out and boy was I wrong. This seriously makes my sleep pad feel like I'm sleeping on a twin mattress. Granted, if you take this backpacking it isn't going to save you any weight compared to a 3" thermarest or anything but it gives you the option to strip down your gear to an ultralight setup without buying a separate pad for more comfortable pursuits (car camping, campgrounds, etc.) The only problem I've found is that the velcro opening tends to stick to the light mesh inner liner and will probably tear it up over time. I plan on packing this when my pack can handle a little more weight and when it's cold for the additional insulation. This combo of pillowtop and astro sleep pad would be killer for a touring band or couchsurfer who sleeps on a lot a floors.
