I work for an outdoor adventure school in Honduras where humidity, mud and my usual rough usage is pretty hard on equipment. These shoes have taken lots of abuse so far on trails, city streets, climbing, slogging through mud, etc. and stand up to it! I read other reviews that said they feel tight... they do at first, but given a week of wear, they loosened up a lot. I ordered 1/2 a size up, but these are true to size, go with what you usually wear. Definitely recommend these shoes for anyone on their feet all day!

Great shoe for hiking rugged terrain. Keeps feet nice and dry when traveling through wet areas. Great protection from rocks, roots, etc. Very stable shoe! These shoes are a little on the heavy side making a long hike a little "longer"...but, if rugged and beefy are what you're looking for, these shoes will work great!
