I bought these shoes for my 10 yr old son after getting really frustrated about how fast his tennis shoes were wearing out. I've held back from buying these in the past because they are a little spendy for kids shoes. But, with as fast as I was going through regular tennis shoes I figured I might end up saving money. These shoes have been wonderful! Boys are really hard on their shoes and these Keens have stood up to everything my son has dished out. My son will outgrow these before he wears them out. One word of advice: make sure to tuck the black plastic piece under part of the laces (like it shows in the picture). If you don't, it will whack around on the ground and break off.
