Comments about SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves:
I have owned these for many years now. I primarily use them for warm weather snowboarding but they can be used for anything where you want to keep your hands dry. As others have said they do not breath at all, i commute with them when i have too and because no air gets through even in low to mid 40's my hands sweat. They are completely waterproof as long as the liner that is squashed in between in inner and outer sides of the glove is intact. If you get pin holes in the waterproof liner if will leak. Yes the outside of the glove does absorb water but and can be rung out but it stays dry inside unless you sweat enough to make it really wet. They may do better in the very cold but since it doesnt get that cold in san diego i cant speak to that.

Comments about SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves:
I took these on a weeklong canoe trip in Alaska. They soaked through quite quickly and they never dried. I could literally wring them out they were so soaked through. And the material holds water like a sponge.
My canoe flipped in a rapid and I spent the next day near a fire drying out my clothes. Oddly, my waterproof gloves were the only things that weren't dry by the end of the day. These are more comfortable than normal waterproof gloves, and would be nice for a rainy jog or something - but they are not good enough for real outdoor trips.

Comments about SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves:
They are issued to those of us in the Coast Guard who are stationed where it gets cold and icy. We generally use them when we are done handling line and working on deck. I found them to work pretty well when handing wet items on the deck, but like the reviewer above said, they don't breathe at all. They warm up quickly and never cool back down. They are also pretty durable.

Comments about SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves:
These gloves do not breathe at all and do not wick sweat away as the description said. I poured sweat out of them after a few runs. They did seem to keep the rain out, but did not do so well when my hand got submerged in a puddle (don't ask).
They are probably fine for a walk on a rainy day, but that's not what I was looking for.
