Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
Great pair of pants minus the length. Too short. I wear these all the time and the short length drives me bonkers. Too bad because they are great otherwise. Good material which has a bit of stretch- and are nice enough to wear almost anywhere.

Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
I got a pair of these to play golf in, since you can't wear shorts at my club. There are so much better than khakis or the nicer golf slacks that everybody wears. These are breathable, stretchy, lighweight and very comfortable. Of course these are also great for hiking, I actually prefer to wear these instead of shorts, even when it's warm out. I ended up getting 2 more pairs of these, since they are so versatile, you can wear them for nearly any outdoor activity. Some of the other trekking pants look like the old parachute pants, but these perimeter pants are much more stylish. Great pants!

Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
SHORT: Fantastic lightweight pants. This was the only one that I purchased in a different color because they are so well made and light. 5 Stars.
LONG: Recently went on a 3 week long hiking/travel trip around NZ. All pants were used for both long day hiking (e.g Tongariro Alpine Crossing- 19.4K) and casual wear, but no overnight camping.
I purchased 5 different pairs of technical pants from REI. This is a comparison review because I always find those the most helpful.
Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam
Fantastic lightweight pants. This was the only one that I purchased in a different color when I returned because they are so well made and light. Very well fitting and a joy to wear. I wear them at work all the time. 5 Stars (will be purchasing the last color as well)
Columbia Cool Creek Pants - Men's 32" Inseam
OK pant overall but a bit *cheap* No additional pockets and my wallet sits uncomfortably in the back pocket due to the mesh lining of the pockets. I would not buy again and will be retiring them. 2 Stars.
Mountain Hardwear Matterhorn Convertible Pants - Men's 32" Inseam
I really wanted to like these pants. On top of realizing I don't really use convertible pants since I like to hike with full coverage, these pants weigh considerably more than the rest. Fit is ok at best and you can't really use them as casual wear. One step up from Columbia (which owns the brand). They will be retired. 3 stars.
Marmot Scree Pants - Men's Regular
An oddly likable pant. The zippered ankles create a thinner leg line and help keep the pants in place. Very stretchy material makes for a super comfortable fit. Zippered pockets and additional zippered cargo are very good though the main pocket angle could be better. Lighter than Mountain Hardwear but heavier than Arc'teryx. My fave after the Arc'teryx. 4 Stars.
prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 32" Inseam
A really great pant, but the color, fit and use is duplicated by the Arc'teryx. The cargo pocket is low left and has two zippers for entry (top and side) and I feel is bit too low. Nice light weight probably a shy more than the Arc'teryx. Would probably note buy again due to duplication but like them but will retire. 4 stars.

Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
OK, but not excellent fit. Like the lightweight, breathable, stretchy-ish fabric. Not so sure about durability -- haven't had them that long or subjected them to punishment. Am a little concerned about lack of reinforcement around major wear/stress areas, like the knees and derriere. Would not buy again unless they are on sale.

Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
Wow. I have 20 plus pairs of technical pants and got a pair of these and am very impressed. No shrinkage-if they fit in the store they will fit after 10 washes. Dry fast. Technical material feels tougher than average technical pant (not nylon-like) and resist water. The only change I would make is if they would offer a pant without the front zipper pocket-it is nice to have put would like another pair with out.

Comments about Arc'teryx Perimeter Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
The fit was a little tight at first for a 36 but I'm used to that with Arcteryx gear. The pants relaxed after some climbing and stretching through normal use. I've rallied these at 20 degrees with a minor wind and been very comfortable. They also wear well in the office and wick slightly. Overall these are great pants that I can easily recommend.
