Comments about Big Agnes Gunn Creek +30 Sleeping Bag:
I went with Big Agnes beacuse I am more three dimesional than the normal person. At 6'1", 270lbs, this bag is roomy. I have pleanty of room to turn onto my side with ease. With an insulated pad in the sleeve, it kept me nice and warm. My last use was sleeping in from of my local REI store on the sidewalk waiting for the garage sale. It kept me warm and I slept good, have not done that in a long time.

Comments about Big Agnes Gunn Creek +30 Sleeping Bag:
I'm a pretty hefty guy and conventional mummy bags are too restrictive for me. I am very comfortable in this bag. I can turn over easily and 5'11" its plenty long. I'm also a restless sleeper and the 'never roll off your pad' feature makes this bag go from good to awesome.
It takes a 1.5" x 20" x 72" self inflating pad just fine. The two can be married up inside the tent if its rainy. Can't imagine how to improve it.

Comments about Big Agnes Gunn Creek +30 Sleeping Bag:
As a "car camper" primarily this bag is perfect - roomy, comfortable - love being able to zip up but still roll over - love the zipper opening bottom and top to regulate temps!

Comments about Big Agnes Gunn Creek +30 Sleeping Bag:
I bought this bag and immediately set about to test its' worthiness. I find the bag to be an adaptable bag for systemic applications dependant upon ambient temperatures.
By adding more layers, one can make this 3 season bag into a 4 season bag very easily. The width and length are perfect.
The features for the securement of the pad(s) and pillow, is an absolute reason to make this bag your very own.
So good is this system, that I want to be buried with it when I go! Not only did my pads not move, I had no cold spots to adjust for in the middle of the night.
This is so, since the pads beneath you are in a sleeve which keeps the pad(s) from traveling.
The bag is a semi rectangular design, which is perfect for the insertion of another bag, of varying degrees - depending upon your needs / requirements.
You can easily increase the "r" value of the bag this way.
I challenged the bag, by using it in apporx 27 degrees overnight temperatures, with relative winds of 15 - 25 mph - at 7K elevation, without any other shelter to "cocoon" the bag.
The results were impressive, and for me, this is a "keeper" if there ever was one!
The weight is reasonable, the price point is attractive, and the features make the bag a winner!
The only negative, is the draw string for the hood balks a little, because of the way they have attached "it" to the bag. It's hardly worth even mentioning, since it does what it is supposed to do.

Comments about Big Agnes Gunn Creek +30 Sleeping Bag:
I used this bag with the insulated pad on a camping trip to England one cool summer. The bag was very roomy and cozy and well worth the cost. The bag is rated at 30 degrees but it seemed more of a 40-45 degree bag. The sales rep said to add ten degrees to any temperature rating so I was expecting it to be colder than rated. Since I tend to sleep cold I used the bag with a lightweight travel blanket and was plenty warm. My daughter used the bag in a cold building with an uninsulated air mattress on a cement floor. She was so cold she ended up sleeping on the bag and used her blanket on top. If you use an insulated pad you should stay toasty warm and since the bags are large you should have plenty of room to move around.
