Nearly the same weight and packability as a down bag, the Marmot Cloudbreak 30 synthetic-fill sleeping bag features an innovative construction that keeps you warm from top to bottom.

  • Thermal R synthetic insulation has excellent loft with minimal weight; shell is protected by incredibly durable yet soft and light 40-denier micro ripstop nylon
  • Non-bulky Thermal R maximizes warmth while reducing the adverse effects of perspiration, condensation and humidity inside the garment
  • Wave construction, consisting of overlapping shingles of insulation throughout the bag, prevents cold spots
  • Body-mapping of insulation directs warmth to key areas and adds maximum thermal efficiency
  • Anatomic 3D hood envelops your head in warmth; Face Muff allows hood to be cinched snug without digging into face
  • Full length zipper with a snagless draft tube prevents fabric from snagging in the zipper coils
  • Trapezoidal footbox allows insulation to loft fully around your feet for optimum warmth and comfort
  • No more midnight drawcord fumbling—smooth, flat upper cord and hard, round lower cord make hood and collar adjustments easy
  • European Norm (EN) is an independent third-party temperature rating, allowing accurate comparisons across brands with other EN-rated bags
  • The Marmot Cloudbreak 30 comes with a lightweight stuff sack

Got if for early Father's Day gift. Took this on a 3 day backpack trip. Overnight temps in the low 40's. Warn and comfortable. My kids borrow it for summer camps and sleep overs.

Comments about Marmot Cloudbreak +30 Sleeping Bag:

I bought this sleeping bag for shoulder season backpacking; 30-40 degrees. I'm a hot sleeper and a 20 degree would be overkill.

I tested it out car camping on 4/15 when the temperature stayed around 40F and I was too warm! I slept with the bag unzipped for half of the night and was very comfortable; should be perfect for near freezing nights.

I bought the regular length and I am 6'0" and 180lbs - it's a perfect fit. If I were any taller I would want the long.

I'm never one to complain about zippers, but it snagged a minimum of 5 times when zipping up (each time so far).

Overall, you can't beat the combination of warmth, weight, compressability (better than my 45 deg synth), and price for a sythetic bag. Fantastic purchase.

Comments about Marmot Cloudbreak +30 Sleeping Bag:

This is my first Marmot product. I bought because the B.A. bags dont work well for me in my hammock.I am only 5'5" so length is good in a regular bag for me. The shoulder, and arm area is a little tight.I guess this can be good for heat, and packing down. The zipper to me seems to work as good as my Agnes Encampment, and better than my Mountain Hardwear Lamina-20

Comments about Marmot Cloudbreak +30 Sleeping Bag:

Bought this for my first back packing trip. I wasn't in particularly cold weather (~37-40 degree nights). I bought a large, and for my 6 foot tall average build body it was very comfortable. A big plus for me was that, in its sleeve/case, It was the perfect size to be strapped to ruck. All in all it was a great buy for me and I'm sure it would be for you.
