I have had at least 8 pairs of these shoes over the past few years. As they wear, I retire them to my gardening shoe rack. I wear them all the time, for everything. I had lots of trouble with foot pain, even arthritis in my toe joints until I was fitted with this shoe and never looked at another shoe again. This year's color combination, Navy and turquoise, is particularly awesome.

This is actually the second pair of this shoe I purchased, because I liked the first pair so much and was afraid they would discontinue it before I could get more. I can't say enough good things about this shoe. I have short, wider feet, and they fit amazingly well. They provide enough cushion to make it through trail marathon training, but also allow for a bit of feel of the trail so I don't trip or roll an ankle. Brooks really makes things for runners who are going long-distance, and this is no exception. Great shoe!

Very pretty shoe! I was encouraged to buy a whole size larger based on REI's salesperson guide and this was ok. But after wearing them 3 or 4 times for about 30 minutes each walking on a treadmill, I began to realize that my feet were feeling numb after about 5-10 minutes into the routine, so I decided I best return them. I did with no hassles from REI! They're great!

Love the lacing system and cushiony comfort, very secure feeling shoes, when travelling they are my one pair for everything shoes. Packed them for a 4 day trip to Arizona, used them to hike Camelback mountain, biked 44 miles in them, ran 12 miles on sidewalks and walked on our grand canyon tour in them. At home I run in wet grass, gravelly country roads and on rocky hilly trails and love them. Most runs 3-10 miles in them. Only performance complaint is that they cake heavily with the sticky Ohio mud on wet muddy trails, I am going to try the more minimalist PureGrits next for real muddy conditions cause heavy legs make for slower times on trail run races in the mud. Highly recommend them for a comfortable "broken in from the moment you put them on" all terrain or trail running/hiking shoe.

A great knowledgable expert in the shoe department helped me figure out how to replace beloved worn out discontinued hiking shoes. I wanted something lightweight that wouldn't cook my feet and that could still manage tough terrain in the Rockies in mixed (though summer) weather. These run small so I went a 1/2 size up, and they fit like a dream, did well on all kinds of rocks, I was stable and happy. And when my feet felt like anvils it was only because I was at 12,500 feet, not because the shoes were heavy.

These shoes are just what you would expect from Brooks. I took them for a 7 mile trail run as soon as I got them, and they were very comfortable and lightweight. I always go up 1/2 size from my regular shoes in Brooks. The toe box is wide enough to give your toes room, and the heel fits well enough not to let them slip. I love them.

I'm a ultra runner and adventure racer and wear these shoes every time. They are amazing. My whole adventure racing team also bought them off my word and LOVE them!! They thank me everytime they wear them. There is no break in stage with these. I own 5 pair and rotate them out often b/c I run through creeks and mud daily. I normally wear a size 9 in running shoes, and I ordered these in a 9.5. I'm extremely picky about running shoes!!!! It doesn't get any better than this!
