Comments about Brooks PureFlow Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
I run approx. 30-50km a week, mainly urban running, and bought these to replace an old pair of Nike Free 5.0 and to alternate with my Brooks Green Silence. Read ALOT of online info as I am in New Zealand and no one was stocking them instore, so was reliant on others' opinions.
As a Brooks wearer I stuck with my regular size and the fit is just fine, though they do feel more snug than the Green Silence, but not too tight. Despite the lower heel/toe differential than the Green Silence (4mm vs 8mm) the Flow feels like alot more shoe - very cushioned and 'marshmallowy' compared to GS and much sturdier feeling upper than the Nike Free. This was a little odd for me as I was/am very used to the sock-like feel of the others. Also, there is much less ground feel with the Flow; on my run this morning I paid attention to this and noted that I could feel the shoe rather than the pavement.
For these reasons I, personally, would not consider this a minimal shoe, rather it is a cushioned midfoot/forefoot striking shoe, i.e. rather than allowing you foot full flexibility and freedom to move however it wants, the Flow encourages the foot to land in this more natural position. Be warned though, if you are not used to it these will give sore calves to the unprepared ;)
I can only presume that the Pure Connect is more comparable to the GS and Nike Free in terms of flexibility and ground feel.
One other main difference I have noticed from the more minimal Nike Free and Green Silence (both of which I love ) is that my feet feel hotter in the Flows.
Having said that it is a very comfortable shoe to run in and is giving me some nice speeds! All in all this is a very nice running shoe, but more shoe than I was expecting.

Comments about Brooks PureFlow Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
I'm 47 and run with a mid-foot strike, mild supination. I love my Five Fingers (FF)--light; full range of motion, but they don't provide enough cushion on pavement. I like my Asics Kahana 5's, but I don't get the range of motion that the FF provide and my achilles usually aren't too happy even after a short run (old achilles injury from a non-running activity). And after sitting for about 20 minutes, I have stiff joints when I get up to move. The Pureflow is the best of both worlds--light, cushion, range of motion. I took them out for just a quick 2 mile test run, right out of the box, and WOW! No achilles pain, no joint stiffness afterwards...it was just a pleasure to run. I can't wait to hit the road for a long run!

I am just getting myself into running season again. I needed some new shoes. I have toyed with trying barefoot runners but had difficulty getting my toes in them plus was a little scared of going full out having never done minimalist before. These were recommended to me as a nice compromise and I think they were a great choice. Not as "bouncy" as traditional running shoes; I don't get that extra push forward but my foot feels much more stable and comfortable. PLus the shoes look cool. Haven't logged many miles in them yet but they have inspired me to run more than I would have otehrwise this early in my running season.

I'm a longtime runner with about 20 mile average week. I've used lots of shoes. In the process of changing my running gait none of the lightweights or barefoots left me satisfied. This shoe is awesome to help promote mid-sole strike and the tech put into the heel is super smart.
Finally a Brooks shoe that is as cool looking at the company ethos.

Comments about Brooks PureFlow Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
I am a 25 year old female from Arizona and am training for my first half marathon. I have very high arches and am a true under pronator. I was running in a pair of old Nike Shoxx that were giving me blisters, so I decided to invest in a good pair of running shoes. I read the reviews for the Brooks PureFlow and they seemed to be the cream of the crop for runners. The bottom line, these shoes are excellent. It only took me one run or so to break them in, and they are worlds apart from my old Nikes. They are SO lightweight, cushiony, and my feet feel wonderful by the time I am finished with my runs (short or longer distances). I bought a half size bigger than my normal size as a precaution for running (movement of the foot in the shoe, feet swelling, etc) and they are great. The only thing that worries me about these shoes is that they may wear quickly due to the material of the sole, but only time will tell. Overall, I recommend this shoe!

I bought these over a month ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the running experience. I was looking for a shoe towards the minimal side and these have fit the bill. They have been very comfortable with the cushioning but not too much to negatively impact my stride. Have not tried these on a trail but they have been good on the road and a treadmill. I feel that they've actually helped boost my speed a litte. The one downside, is that I don't feel these had the best traction on wet roads, but that was only from a couple of runs on newly wet pavement, so not much experience.

Comments about Brooks PureFlow Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
A few years ago, I started running for the first time in my life and soon realized that I needed to invest in some proper shoes. I went to a running store and had my gait analyzed and spent *a lot* of money on the high-tech shoes they recommended. Funny thing, though, is that my feet were always incredibly sore after I wore them (the arch support felt like concrete), so I didn't stick with running, even after spending all that money.
In hopes of losing weight, I recently decided to give running another shot. After a few short runs in my old kicks, I was ready to give up again. Then I bought these Brooks shoes and everything changed.
In these shoes I feel light and agile. Though I have bad knees, they provide plenty of cushioning on pavement. Also, my stride feels really natural. Since I'm a new runner, I don't think I've developed any habits yet, good or bad. When I run in these, I seem to strike mid-foot or forefoot, which feels comfortable to me, whereas in the old shoes, I definitely struck hard with my heels.
From a beginner's standpoint, these are awesome shoes. It doesn't hurt that they're stylish, too.
