Get stoked aboard the Scott Spark 29er Elite mountain bike, a full-suspension 29er designed for all-out awesome, thanks to adjustable geometry, bar-top suspension control and agile handling.

Hydroformed and butted 6061 aluminum frame is lightweight and sturdy; geometry has been fine-tuned to maximize suspension performance
Tapered head tube stiffens up the front end for enhanced strength and handling precision
Oversize bearings help keep suspension stiff and responsive; rear shock linkage chip lets you adjust head tube angle to meet your geometry preferences
TwinLoc system provides remote, bar-top control of suspension travel and lockout, letting you customize performance on the fly; choose between full travel or full lockout
RockShox Reba 29 RL Air fork boasts 100mm of air-sprung travel with both rebound adjustment and lockout; tapered alloy steerer provides weight savings
DT Swiss M210 rear shock with rebound adjustment and lockout offers platform damping for improved efficiency and bump control
Shimano 3x10 drivetrain uses SLX shifters to deftly guide the XT rear derailleur and SLX front derailleur through all 30 gears so you're in the right gear when you need it
Avid Elixir 5S hydraulic disc brakes use a 180mm rotor up front and a 160mm rotor in back to facilitate responsive, progressive braking
29er wheels are outfitted with Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires offer great all-around, self-cleaning performance

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. I love the fact that I can pass my friends coasting downhill while they pedal. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this bike so far! It is well balanced, the XT drivetrain shifts smoothly, and it climbs great! My skill level is the only thing holding this bike back!

I love Scott's geometry on this bike. Took the new bike to Sun Valley for a weekend and enjoyed every minute until the suspension started squeaking. I took the bike back to R.E.I. and the bike tech found a bushing that had failed. Waiting for a replacement from Scott. Hoping that this is an isolated incident.
I do wish for a little more travel. Can one ever have enough? Get one, you'll like it.
