Comments about Scott Aspect 40 Bike - 2012:

This is my first ever mountain bike and I have no regrets with this bike. I bought the green one and I get many compliments about the look and color. I've ridden about 4 different trails since I bought this a month ago. It handles really well, it's light weight, and looks great. The only thing that I have an issue with is the shifting. Even with proper maintenance, it still shifts rough. I'm going to go back to REI to have them take a look at it. I'm sure it's probably just an assembly issue. I still rate this product 5 stars because of how great it is. I'm sure the gearing and shifting issue can be fixed. I highly recommend this bike to anyone. My friend is an avid downhill rider. He tested my bike and said it's an excellent climber! I'm just a beginner and I love this bike.
