looks great in photos but disappoints

The pants are described as "soft shell, stretchy, designed for climbing." In fact, they barely stretch, they're very restrictive, not suitable for climbing. And they have a plastic texture. They feel like rain pants. The material is not what most of us think of as "soft shell." As for the design, it looks great in the photos: sleek, nothing extraneous. Most soft-shell pants these days are overwrought. And the Eidolon pants are, in fact, sleek. I like that they narrow to the ankle, have no ankle zips, and have no rear pockets. But the waist has very little elasticity. That means you rely totally on the draw cord to hold the pants up. And that's not comfortable. I might have kept these pants if they had an integral belt, as do the Mountain Hardware Rifugio pants. But due to the waist, and the material itself, I returned them. Are you listening, TNF?
