These shorts look great with a stylish long inseam, but I get the feeling that they were not really designed by a runner.

I purchased these because of the inner compression shorts, which I really like in most other brands. However, these fit very tightly around the bottom of the thigh and loosely in the crotch area, the exact opposite of what I would expect to prevent chafing! The result is that running anything over 15mi, I suffer severe chafing (on the order of doing the wide-leg chafe-walk for a few days.)

These would be great if only the undershorts fit better. They are very lightweight, have a really convenient pocket that keeps heavy items from bouncing around, and dry quickly when running in the rain or after a swim. I feel that TNF has definitely put form above function here, investing more in the design of sexy features than real-world usability.

I have been searching for the perfect running short for years, these are the ones. I wanted shorts that were knee length, light weight, wouldn't ride up when running, and fit in the crotch to eliminate chaffing. These hit 'em all. The outer material doesn't ride up, the liner prevents chaffing, and they are lighter than wearing BBall shorts (which chaff.... bad).

Thanks NF, now some more colors?

These NF shorts are great. NF really hit a home run. I am very particular about the "fit" of clothing. That said, this short is great in terms of not being too tight / too loose or too long / too short.

I have purchased a second pair. I wish they had additional colors of this item.
