Ripstop nylon is used to create soft and flowing outer shorts; polyester and elastane panels add to their breathability
Ventilation areas are positioned to reduce clamminess and vent warm air
Durable fabric is soft, lightweight and smooth to the touch; plus, it's treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish to help get you though the drizzle
A continuous seamless short liner made of nylon and elastane is wrapped into the waistband

Comments about The North Face Better Than Naked Cool Shorts - Men's:

Simply fantastic. These are the lightest, most breathable, and most comfortable running/gym shorts I've owned. While best suited for athletic pursuits, I suppose they could be used on short hikes or as an ad hoc pair of swim shorts as well. The zip pocket in back is just big enough for an id, keys, and a bit of cash. The cut and length is great for freedom of movement without being too revealing. Last big pro is the liner. I normally detest the typical mesh liners in running shorts but my opinion has changed after wearing these. The liner is made of super comfy material (not mesh!) and provides a perfect amount of support without feeling constricting. As the name says, you literally sometimes forget you are wearing shorts. I'll order more if they ever go on sale. Wish there were more colors but whatever.
