Comments about Cannondale Synapse 6 Compact Bike - 2012:
First off, I'm a big guy, over 6 foot and about 240 on a good day. Within minutes of taking delivery of this bike, I found myself worrying about breaking the crank arms. The flex in them was so severe, I had problems getting the pedals to lock into the cleats on my shoes. I changed the crankset to a more rigid setup, that problem went away. The deurailler (sp?)on the rear was clunky and aggravating when climbing, so I changed that to one better. Coming off a bike that would shift when you breathed on the levers, the throw on the shifters is annoying. Guess what gets changed next.
Before buying this bike, look into the higher priced models. You're probably going to spend the same money upgrading anyway, so just get it already done in the beginning so you don't develop the love/hate relationship I have with mine.
Service and delivery comments:
I don't have the confidence in the mechanics at the store to properly work on the bike. Shifter issues have been fixed only to reappear somewhere else in the gearing. Changes to the setup when I get the bike back, not to mention the pitiful 45 second setup I got the day I bought the bike. Fortunately, my wife put herself through college as a bike mechanic some years ago and helped me with a proper setup.

Comments about Cannondale Synapse 6 Compact Bike - 2012:
First off all this is my first Cannondale bicycle I had purchased so I thought for my skill level I would be more than fine, but to my surprise I felt it lacking drive. A little too sluggish and thats that I didn't ride much in the past. Point being that if you got that power leg and could smash gears for long you should invest a little more and fine one with the Shimano 105 components. Thats what I did and I'm more than happy. :)
