10-speed drivetrain features SRAM double crankset and Force derailleurs for dependable performance and power transfer throughout the 20 gears
BB30 bottom bracket shell design increases stiffness for improved power transfer, thanks to an oversized spindle and large bottom bracket shell
Fulcrum Racing 7 wheelset is decked out with fast 700c Schwalbe Lugano folding tires for excellent handling and speed

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Cannondale Slice 4 Bike - 2012:

Awesome bike, I'd like to see flat carbon bars (rather than round tube bars) but otherwise and excellent bike for the price.

Service and delivery comments:

Poor build quality!
Tri bars off centre.
Cables cut too short.
Cables obviously were not taped before fed through the frame so they are already fraying.
Cables fed improperly (not through tri bars)
Brake lever installed twisted.
Crank shaft loose.

For a bike of this price I expect a lot more from REI. I'm seriously considering tearing the bike down and starting from scratch to make sure nothing else has been missed. A lot of these things are pretty simple and I'd expect more from a professional bike builder (I've built/re-built 50+ bikes in my life). Bottom line, if you buy this bike ask them not to build it and either do it yourself or take it to someone that knows better.
