When I first got this bike I loved it. Perfect for street to trail riding. Little did I know that the hills around my house would pose a challenge. On a relatively steep dirt downhill I engaged both the back & front brakes and bam I went right over the handlebars. It didn't seem like a severe downhill and I didn't overly brake the front wheel. My buddy jumped on the bike and said the frame seems narrow from seat to handlebar. After reviewing the specs I learned that the large frame is only 22in in length versus most moutain bike frames which are roughly 24in. Those extra 2 inches make a huge difference and give you a much more secure feeling. I am now upgrading to a Cannondale Trail SL 29er. If this bike were on a longer frame it would be perfect for streets and trails. Too bad...

I use this bike to commute to work- it handles tram tracks and curbs with ease (the shocks are perfectly sufficient for this, though might not have quite enough travel for serious mountain biking). I haven't found any problem with the brakes/balance- they are disc brakes, so if you put them on suddenly going downhill you need to lean back- but no more so than any other bike in my opinion. I am 5'4"- and find the sizing and geometry of the small size to fit my (petite) woman's frame well. The bike is lighter than my old mountain bike, but handles uneven streets/diagonal tram line crossings with ease. The tyres are also nice- they are fast when going straight, but have a good amount of traction for corners.

I love this bike. I use it on the local bike paths around the Valencia area. I went from a mountain bike to this hybrid and I couldn't be happier. I get at least 5 to 10 mph more than I was getting on my mountain bike. Before this bike, I was riding for exercise but now I also ride because it's fun again.

Great Bike, fun to ride, smooth and fast.

would recommend it, i Tested Giant Roam 0, And various Cannondlaes and i liked this one the best for the $.

Go for it if you have the budget, not too cheap, but its an investment for long term use.
