Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
This jacket is awesome! It is super warm and the soft material makes it extra comfortable against your skin. its not the best for wind but it has good water resistance and was very nice in the snow. It had some down leak out of it during the first week of use. And it was only a few feathers. The bag that comes with it is the same material as the jacket and made for a great pillow at night.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
Maybe I'm not as rough with this as others are, or just expect it to require a bit of care - it is an ultralight jacket after all. I've had one for about four years and another for a couple years and both are still in as good a condition as they were when new - no holes, no down leaks, nothing.
Otherwise, I've found it to be an excellent light weight down sweater. I'm 6'1" and about 155lbs and the fit is perfect. Works well about town and for cool nights when camping in the summer, and layers fantastically when I ski with it in the winter. I love how small it packs down and how light it is when I throw it in my pack. Recently washed my first one (was beginning to look a bit used) and the down fluffed right back up. Totally happy with it (which is why I bought a second - a hooded one).

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
The shell is far too thin. I've owned this jacket for close to two months and take extremely good care of my gear. Within two months I had to seal up three holes spitting the down out. I Just got back from a week-long backpacking trip and during that time I had to duct tape four more holes up. It's a shame because it's very toasty warm for the weight but it's poorly built. Would not recommend.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
Tight around the armpits. I'm a 38R and both with the S and the M sizes, the armpit is tight and the torso is long. When I hug myself with my arms, I feel like the back of the jacket is going to bust open. These jackets were made for taller men with smaller shoulders...or people who are comfortable or trust the material not to bust open when maneuvering a climb or just reaching across your chest.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
The recycled polyester used in this coat is extremely thin. After wearing this twice to and from work there was already a small hole in the material. Also it does not see to retain feathers well. Would not buy again, in fact will be returning.
