Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pants - Men's 32" Inseam
The Columbia Silver Ridge™ convertible pants, with 32 in. inseam, give you convenient 2-in-1 function that saves weight and space, making them perfect for backpacking and extended travel.
- Nylon fabric offers long-lasting wear; Omni-Wick™ fabric treatment pulls moisture off your skin to increase comfort
- With a UPF 50+ rating, fabric provides excellent protection against harmful ultraviolet rays
- Pant legs zip off, converting the pants to shorts with a 10 in. inseam in warm weather; zip the legs back on for increased coverage and added warmth
- Side cargo pockets stow trail and travel items; front hand pockets and 2 rear pockets provide additional storage
- Gusseted crotch facilitates freedom of movement for increased comfort
- The Columbia Silver Ridge convertible pants have elastic at the sides of the waistband and an integrated webbing belt that lets you fine-tune the fit

Got a pair of these because REI wasn't carrying the North Face version. These were a bit tight in the upper leg and thigh, and I wound up taking them back. Probably fine for someone with smaller legs, but I personally like the fit of the North Face pants.

I like this fit because other brand of similiar pants are too loose in crotch and leg areas. My waist is 35, but the pant size 34 fit the waist and hips just right and not tight nor baggy. Pocket design is good-not baggy and the right amount.

Great pair of pants. Glad I got them on sale, I don't think they're worth the full price. A few of the seams have stretched a little... so I'm waiting to see how they hold up and if they'll break. Also, for this price, I would expect ankle zips for easy on/off. I don't want to have to take my boots off to convert to shorts. One thing to note however is that they are little tight around the butt. I am very very skinny (6' 130 lbs) and they feel okay... But I think they might feel a little tight on the average person.
Cons aside, these pants are very light, comfortable, and breathe amazingly well. They also dry very quickly (dried within half an hour after a knee deep stream crossing). Plus, they give you SPF protection which I find to be a great added bonus (I'm not a huge fan of sunblock).
All in all, great pants but I do find them a bit overpriced... try to get them on sale if possible.
