  • Lightweight, flexible synthetic textile and polyester mesh uppers offer maximum breathability and comfort; memory foam-lined collars mold to each foot for amazing comfort
  • Strategically placed stretch materials are used in the uppers to create a personalized, performance fit that reduces buckling and the chance of skin irritation
  • Wicking polyester linings move excess moisture away from feet and dry fast
  • Footbeds supply additional cushioning, offer antimicrobial performance and manage moisture for a cool, dry and comfortable interior

      I have put over 200 miles on these shoes since I bought them. They have not worn out as described in the other reviews. Great, comfortable running shoes. Didn't even get any blisters the first time I used them for a five mile run. I would highly recommend these shoes to avid runners.

      The first few days I wore these shoes around town, they were great. My first run was really comfortable. At around 10 miles of use, the material at the heel started wearing through. After 20-30 miles, There were two giant holes in the heel. I would not buy again.

      Service and delivery comments:

      REI offered to take them back under the satisfaction guarantee, but I couldn't bring myself to making REI eat it for poor design by Asics.

      I have been buying the Gel Kayano for years for my running--this has been my go-to shoe. However the last time I bought the shoe, Asic had changed the fabric used for lining the heal and it wears out quickly with my feet. I won't buy these shoes again unless they change the fabric.
