These are lightweight and comfortable, yet rugged and durable. The knees held up well with a crawler. We bought 12 month size for our 9 month old, who is wearing them rolled, but will likely fit for a long time. Pants that fit well around cloth diapers are hard to find, but these are perfect.

We received these pants in 18 months size over a year ago as a gift for my then 1 year old daughter. She wore them rolled up & snapped all last spring, summer & fall and they went right to her ankles. A year later and they still fit great - she's taller now so she wears them unrolled and the length is perfect. She is a 3T in all other clothes, so these run pretty big. My daughter wore these pants at least twice a week on many adventures and they seriously look brand new. She is much more mobile now and wears them at the playground all the time and not a single stain, rip, or tear, they are indestructable! I just came to check REI to see if they still have them and I'm so glad they do, I will be ordering the next size up in anticipation of my little adventurer growing this summer. A little pricey but definitely worth the money.

We did not buy this product, just tried it on in store. I tried the 4T on my 4 yr old, who's slim and 37" tall. It was hard to tell much about the fit, although the length seemed okay, because there was no adjustable waistband! There was in the size 4-5 version of the convertible pant, which is what we went with, they will just be long for a year or two.
