Comments about REI Stoke 19 Pack:
I use this pack every day for walking to and from work, school, and stores. I like that it has a limited capacity because it encourages carrying few things.
I am 5'4", with a 26 inch waist, and this pack is still too big around the waist/hips at the tightest setting. When I wear a sweater or jacket, it's perfect. It's highly adjustable, but still not adjustable enough. REI manufacturers should consider that small people will tend to buy small packs like this one, and they should make it able to go tighter.
It's excellent even for avid biking, even if you ride high-saddle, low-handlebar style. It does not restrict the neck or shoulders in any way, unlike some packs here.
The mesh lining in back keeps sweat away. It fits a large 2.0 liter camelbak bladder, which is way cool. And it holds the bladder in place very well.
There are lots of loops on the straps to hang your biners and other stuff. The straps are ergonomic and very comfortable.

Comments about REI Stoke 19 Pack:
I bought this pack with my dividend and took it out on the trail the very same day. I bought this pack because I have the older version of REI's Flash 18 and it was really time for an upgrade. (The Flash 18 was one of my first purchases at REI and I got it at one of their Garage Sales for a great price. It's still usable, but the shoulder straps have been a bother and it isn't very stable for any other type of movement besides leisurely walking. Still a great pack though, especially with the newer design). I went up to Turner Falls in Oklahoma and WOW was this pack nice. It's roomy, has great padding in the shoulder straps and back, wonderfully easy zippers, hip belt pockets, generous loops for your needs, and a wonderful separate pocket for your CamelBak. Such a comfortable pack. The only downside is that it is just a little loose on me, but that's mostly because i'm a very small woman. I pull the shoulder straps and hip belt straps as tight as they go and there's still just a little bit of wiggle room. But this shouldn't be a problem for most. Especially since most will be using this for running, cycling, and day hikes. I did a little bit of climbing some rocks to get up to some caves by the falls and that was when I was just a little bit concerned about the shifting of the pack. But again, this shouldn't be a problem for most other people. And the velcro hooks at the ends of the waist belt straps was a very pleasant surprise. All in all, I love this pack and would buy it again.

Comments about REI Stoke 19 Pack:
Supple padding keeps you cool with ventilation found on more expensive packs. Comfortable waist belt has decent sized pockets to stash keys, wallet or a small camera.

Comments about REI Stoke 19 Pack:
I'm new to the world of day packs, but I've begun hiking by myself and find I need a lightweight, utilitarian pack to carry my basics (DSLR camera, water, and ID). I also bought this with Disneyland in mind, as a good friend of mine are serious visitors to the Happiest Place on Earth. It encourages us not to carry too much, and will be much more comfortable than the unevenly weighted bags of years past.
The only drawback thus far has been that the egg crate padding on the back does not provide any ability for the user's back to stay cool, as the advertisement suggests it does.

Comments about REI Stoke 19 Pack:
Selected this pack for my 1st major day hike. It was just the right size, and was comfortable for the entire 7 hour adventure. About the only thing missing was more spots (not on the hip line) to attach items on the outside.
