The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Rainspout Rain Jacket - Infant/Toddler Boys':
My son loves this jacket to bits. He wants to wear it even when its not raining. Its a great jacket to stash in the car or diaper bag just in case it starts to rain. The sizing is quite accurate for todlers.

Comments about REI Rainspout Rain Jacket - Infant/Toddler Boys':
I bought this for my daughter, Katie, who is between a 2T and 3T. We have an REI down jacket in 2T for her and needed something for the snow and wind to go over the down. We figured she would be too big for the down jacket just in time to be big enough to wear this alone when it warms up a little. We live in Wyoming, so rain won't be a big problem...but the wind is killer on the high plains, and it is working excellent in Germany right now which has lots of snow and is pretty darn cold (a visit to the grandparents).
As always, REI products are top notch and inexpensive. A week after buying it Katie was rolling in the snow at my parents' house for Christmas. The down underneath stayed dry and she stayed warm. (ok she had bib overalls on underneath so the snow couldn't run up the coat.)
The sleeves have good velcro on them to tighten the cuffs around gloves and mittens. It seems to be pretty durable for a pack-lite style shell. I expect it will get my daughter through the summer as a light jacket and perhaps longer until our son (1) grows into it. Then I expect it to do the same for him until he outgrows it.
Baby clothes are expensive and this is WAY higher quality than any other shell you might find elsewhere for the same price.
I put that it doesn't breathe because it doesn't look like it breathes that well. It feels almost rubbery like it might not (which is why it MUST be awesome in the rain), but honestly it might breathe GREAT. It doesn't fit me, so I couldn't tell you for sure, and my daughter, although very vocal, doesn't exactly understand what it means when a garment "breathes".
We hike and camp and do all kinds of cool stuff outdoors. This coat is what will make my daughter every bit as comfortable as the rest of the family. Bottom line, if you try to spend more time outdoors than in and you have kids, this jacket is a pretty cool deal.

Comments about REI Rainspout Rain Jacket - Infant/Toddler Boys':
Our 19 month old son wore this on a 3 hour snowshoeing trip. It was snowing lightly and he was in a backpack. The coat didn't repel water at all. It soaked it up and began to get the down suit he was wearing underneath damp too. His rain pants, whihc were from Columbia, worked perfectly. Needless to say, a wet, cold toddler is not fun for anyone. Very disappointed that this product was not waterproof as advertised. We've come to expect more from REI products.

This is the perfect spring rain jacket. It looks great and is highly functional. It's a perfect jacket for hiking, a day at the park or just a quick trip in the stroller. My son loves wearing it and even asks to wear it inside!
