I have searched high and low for the perfect running skirt for warm weather running, since I have come to the sad realization that running in shorts is a no-go for me (they inevitably bunch up between my thighs) and sometimes it's just too hot for knee-length leggings. Most running skorts have teeny tiny compression shorts that ride up and are useless for me, but I LOVE the little rubber grippies that keep the longer-than-average compression shorts in place. I wore it for a 3.5 mile run and they never rode up ONCE, and the silicone grips didn't bother me at all. Worth every penny.

I run in this skirt but also lift weights in it from time to time. The good thing is, the inner shorts do not ride up -- as others have mentioned. So, crunches on the floor or chin-ups on a bar are not embarrassing. However the band really bugs me when I run. It makes the otherwise cool, mesh skirt feel hot when temps go above 72 degrees.

Had to update my earlier review. My store had gotten more sizes in and I exchanged my skirt for a smaller size (I think it runs a bit big cuz shorts are stretchy) I just love the skirt now! I wish I had a black one but they r sold out. I've worn the skirt for 6+mile runs. I like the sticky elastic stuff along the legs.....keep the shorts from riding up.

gosh, i really wanted to like this skirt. the mesh skirt part is great. lightweight and without a slit (the wind blows my other running skirt up to my waist and i hate that). i just dont like the shorts underneath. there were no black skirts in my size so i got slate. the shorts underneath are black which i didnt expect and for some reason i didnt like that. i also like my shorts more compression...they were almost baggy. strange cuz i have big legs. i'm going to return them. maybe a smaller size would be better but my store doesnt have in stock.

This is a great running skirt. The inner brief stays put and does not ride up. There is a back zippered pocket and one side pocket on the inner brief (big enough to hold a gel). The size small fits me great (5'6", 128#).

I own 3 of these and am back to get another. These are by far the best running skirts made. They compression shorts underneath have an inner band that keeps the shorts in place and I don't even have to use Glide with these to prevent chaffing.
I have a few other running skirts and they are not as good quality. The North Face running skirt I have fell apart after a few months. These Brooks skirts have been through 2 marathons and summer training in Florida - no issues.
