Comments about Julbo Sherpa Glacier Glasses:
I really want to like these glasses because they get the job done in terms of reduce glare and cut UV rays. I've used them for skiing and mountaineering on ice/snow. The bummer is that the wrap around the ear design gives me a full on headache. Not sure why...just pushes on your head behind your ears and sparks one for me. Another downer is that they scratch way way too easily...to the point that it obstructs your vision. Lastly, I finally chucked them today because the cheap plastic pin came off of the side covering that attaches it to the frame. Not a solid design. I would make these suggestions to Julbo: fix the film so it doesn't scratch so easily, put in metal pins to hold the side shields, and forget the wrap around the ear design---make the glasses go straight over the ear.

Comments about Julbo Sherpa Glacier Glasses:
Love these glasses! Ever since reading Into Thin Air and looking at pictures of mountaineers when I was a kid I KNEW I WANTED a pair of these glasses.
Never thought they'd be so affordable. Now I wear them every day I am out in the backcountry. They work great! They don't fog up, offer amazing protection, the included strap gives good piece of mind(even though there is no way these glasses will ever fall off). A good solid piece of essential gear I'm glad to have with me.

Comments about Julbo Sherpa Glacier Glasses:
Julbo Sherpa Glacier Glasses is a good example of design that was not get much better for several decades. Sherpa almost doesn't obstruct peripheral vision so you don't want to take it off when climbing 5th class terrain and need to see everything around. It doesn't get wet and foggy. It packs compact. It protects your eyes from both direct and reflected sunlight. You do not need to take it off for a short photo/video brake - just move it down under your chin.
Julbo Sherpa isn't perfect - photochromic lenses and less bulky case could make it better (increasing its price as well).
Julbo Sherpa is probably the best compromise between all glacier/mountain specs.

Love these when working in the field especially in desert settings and where high reflective surfaces can create problems visually.
