I have used this dozens of times on my motorcycle (including racing situations) and the vacuum seal has never failed. To be on the safe side, I do suggest tethering it to something secure, just in case the seal fails.

Use it twice. The first time it worked, attached securely to my boat. However the second time it was weak and felt off the boat :(

My GoPro is at the bottom of the lake. Does this qualify me for the 100% REI performance guarantee?
