The Diamondback Insight RS bike for women is a great choice for commuting and around-town riding. It features a built-in bike rack and fenders for commuting convenience.

Aluminum frame, with integrated head tube and performance hybrid front fork, is both durable and lightweight
Rigid front fork provides a solid feel of the road, enhancing steering in turns and a sense of precision running straight lines
Geometry, stem and a flat handlebar provide a comfortable upright ride, minimizing body strains and optimizing visibility
Shimano crankset provides 3 gear ranges to get you up and over the hills or let you cruise comfortably over the flats
Shimano shifters, rear derailleur and cassette provide responsive shifting through all 21 speeds
Alloy linear-pull brakes allow controlled deceleration
700c rims and tires provide a "large wheel" ride, great for efficient cruising during long commutes
Kenda Kwik tires provide low rolling resistance while gripping the road; fenders block splashes and road debris
Built-in rear rack totes commuting necessities, groceries or gear according to your trip plans; load capacity of 30 lbs.

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. I got this bike as a special buy sale item in the outlet- what a steal! It's reasonably light weight considering that is has a rack, fenders, etc. on it, and a very pretty bike.

It shifts smoothly, and has a good range of gears for getting up and down the very big hills in Austin. The seat didn't look like it was going to be the best when I picked it up, but it's actually not that bad for my 4 mile commute.

I'm really liking it!

The bike is good. The seat is very uncomfortable. I ride along the lake front trail in Chicago so it's fairly smooth, for the most part.

I use this bike primarily for running errands and cruising around. It's just what I was looking for in a bike; it has a sturdy frame (more like a mountain bike than a street bike) that can take pot-holes and speed bumps, but it has the smoother tires of a street bike making it easy to ride. I like the upright position, and can push a little more if I feel like getting some real exercise. Definitely a good deal for the money, especially with fenders and rack included. I love this bike!
