Bought this jacket for general hiking and rain-preparedness and it has lived up to those quite well. It comes with my in my bike bag (or on my of course) whenever there is a chance of rain. I wear it at the office frequently. It's stood the test of many a hike and many a fishing trip. In fact it's lightweight yet waterproof/windproof nature has made it my perfect boat-trip companion. It isn't too hot in the sun and keeps you warm/dry, the hood is solid for rain and spray.

I tried quite a few jackets until I found this one- and so inexpensive! It is very, very breathable which is very important to me. On these very windy but warm days, I find that I do not overheat at all on my noon time lunch walks yet I feel very protected from the wind. I like how the collar can be zipped up to the neck giving protection without needing the hood to be up. It keeps me warm in a slight chill and dry with a light rain. Looks really nice too and I really like the feel of the fabric- reminds me of e vent's texture. An overall great spring jacket!

This jacket is great for getting me to and from work taking the bus and walking in rainy Portland OR. It is also perfect for day hikes in sunny weather, cloudy conditions, or light rain. I also love the hood that keeps my head dry while walking or hiking. It does not keep me very warm or dry in some heavy downpour, especially if I am standing still. This is a great 3 season jacket, but look for something thicker for winter.
