This is my first 'nice' bike. I got it with the REI 20% coupon. I do the MS150 bike ride and wanted my own my own bike to ride instead of borrowing other people's fancy bikes.

I use this bike for everywhere I go; around the city and on paved trails. It is extremely fast, handles great and is extremely responsive. I also love how light it is. I live on the 3rd floor and carry it up after every ride without a problem. The seat isn't the most comfortable but it isn't that bad either.

My knowledge of bikes isn't the most technical but I can tell it rides smooth. I'd recommend this bike!

Wanted to participate in group rides but not sure if I would feel comfortable and confident on a road bike. I have owned this bike for 30 days and have ridden in seven 32 to 35 mile group rides at 17 to 21 mph. Not only is this bike fun to ride but it is economical. The only negative is that the shade of white on the Novara decals do not match.

Overall, I love this bike - it handles really well and is a great commuter. My only beef is that many pieces have fallen off in the 6 months I've owned it: front and rear reflectors keep coming loose, lost a pedal reflector, lost one of the toe clips after it came loose, and the other toe clip constantly needs tightening. Just a minor annoyance, but still a little strange. Be sure and get this bike when you have a 10% off REI products coupon.

Bought this bike after training/riding for about 3 months. Generally ride in the 25 mile distance with friends. Really enjoy the handling and speed of this bike and would buy again. Great entry price for a flat handled road bike.

If you can only afford one road bike, this may be the one. It's comfortable for commuting but strong enough for touring. Before my two week tour in Italy I changed the grips to accomodate a mirror, added racks front & back and switched pedals. W/o add-ons the bike is extremely light and great for local races. This is now my most preferred bike.
