I bought this to be a light casual jacket to wear everywhere I go. I run hot all the time, this jacket regulates me well in 50-60 degree weather. I like the fact that it is a soft material and doesn't make noise when I move around and that it is soft next to my skin.

I spent at least 30 minutes trying on jackets at REI, great selection, and for a light all around jacket without a hood, I recommend this jacket.

Comments about REI Paradiso Jacket - Men's:

I bought this jacket just to wear on day hikes in moderate weather. I like it because it can stash away easily in my pack. Even though the fabric is thin, it is quite warm and with the zipper up it holds heat - sometimes too much. I got the small because the medium was just a little too big and the sleeves are longer than other jackets like North Face.

The other thing is the wrists have a velcro adjust that kind of gets in my way. It just feels odd because it's above the thumb. But maybe I just need to get used to it. The zipper when zipped up creates a wave that isn't great but I don't care too much about that.
