by fromReally Great Shell I love the shell, it looks great, the fabric is state of the art but it could use to be a bit longer, I don't like the velcro on the sleeves.

by fromSo far, pretty good Overall, I've been pleased with this jacket. But there are five areas that I think need improvement. 1. The sizing is way off. I bought a size small because I was swimming in the medium (my usual size); this is an issue for online purchasers. 2. Add a hang loop. 3. Add pit zips. 4. Put the pockets higher; even at their current elevated position, they're too low when I'm using a backpack hip belt (see photo). 5. Put the REI label someplace other than top center. Every time I've worked up a sweat, that part of the jacket gets wet -- and my insulating layer gets wet in the exact same spot. Crazy! Despite these issues, I like the jacket. And the lime color makes me highly visible on the trail.

by fromThis is a great jacket This is a great jacket. I bike commute and it is great in the wind and rain. The only thing that provides a problem is the hood when biking. If the hood is not being worn it bunches up and blocks your head mobility to look left, right, and behind you.

by fromDry as a bone I got this jacket about 9 months ago, before a week long backpacking trip in the Glacier Peak Wilderness Area. The weather was hot & dry but buggy in the daytime and cool at night. The jacket kept me warm and bug-free. Since that time I've worn it hiking, for snow play (layered) and as my every day raincoat. Great jacket.

by fromKeeps you dry. Used it in heavy rains a few times. Don't ask what I do outdoors in that sort of rains :) but this jacket manages to keep me dry! The only thing is this jacket will not keep you warm as it doesn't have insulation layer. So try to buy it in a larger size and wear your layers underneath it.

by fromWorth every penny! This jacket is so lightweight I carry it with me all the time in my day pack. It has held up to heavy prolonged rainfall and is super as a wind-breaker on cool morning hikes. Used in damp Mid-west conditions, altitude hikes, and dry cool high desert. Wonderful fit and look, too!

by fromBest Jecket I've Ever Owned!!! Worth every penny. Totally breathable! Flattering cut. Got tons of compliments. Owned it for 1 1/2 years now. My staple jacket year round. Just add a fleece under and it's fine for most cold days in Denver. I can run and work out in this and do not get sweaty. It is fine in warm weather. Bought it for a backpacking trip in England. Walked in the rain for 8 hours first day and it kept me dry. Yes, I would also add armpit zippers. Washes well. I can't wait to buy another color.

by fromFantastic jacket! I bought this jacket to wear on a fishing trip to Alaska. I needed something waterproof, windproof and great for layering. It is all of these things, and pretty stylish to boot! We spent four 14 hour days on the water in very windy/rainy/hailing/sunny weather. Typical Alaska May weather! I wore Smartwool's thickest base layer on top and the North Face denali fleece. I didn't need anything else under this jacket! The zippers kept my camera dry in my pocket and it was breathable too. The amazing bonus was when I got home and put off washing it- because everyone knows washing waterproof fabric is never a positive outcome- I noticed the care label said wash often! The material's breathability and waterproof qualitites benefit from washing!!!
