After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Marin Ravenna A6 WFG Women's Bike - 2012:

This is my first road bike and I could not be happier with it. It's comfortable, partly due to the design of the handlebars and how they sit higher than most bikes (they have removable spacers so you can adjust the height on your own). It handles great, rides smoothly, and still allows me to keep up with friends who ride much more expensive, "nicer" bikes. Overall, it was a great value - I got it on clearance at REI (I got the 2011 version), plus my 20% discount, so it ended up being somewhere around $500. The only things I did to it were replace the seat (I wanted a gel seat) and put foot cages on the pedals (I'm still learning and don't want to be clipped in quite yet). I would recommend this bike over and over again
