Comments about Outdoor Products 14-Piece Camp Tableware Set - 2010 Closeout:
Quite obviously this is made for car/family camping due to it's size and intended use. So why is everything so small? The plates are small, the bowls are not bowls but plates with a slight edge, and the cups are nothing special. It is a good idea with it all self enclosed but they dont even fit well inside the box. Even at the discount price, this is not worth buying. I took mine back and purchased the REI Campware Polypropylene plate/bowl set and it is FAR superior.

I bought three sets of these for our multi-day river dry box. the "lids" make great serving dishes, but we learned (after wearing some wine)that the glasses handled scoops below the ridge of the glass, so if you are drinking out of make sure it's facing the opposite direction.Bowls are shallow, but plates are sturdy enough for a steak.

For the DOTD price today (7/15 - [$]) this is a good deal, but I'm not overly impressed with the set. The storage box doesn't stay closed very well and I'm not too keen on eating off of plastic. This is clearly not a backpacking set so why not just buy some of the GSI metal-enamel stuff that'll last forever.

We take this set with us everywhere. It's been through a series of camping and road trips, not to mention last-minute day trips that have proven it is easy to just grab and take along. I love that the bowls can double as plates (they have a flat bottom and aren't terribly deep) and the plates can double as bowl (there is a pretty good lip to the plates) so that we when have additional dinner guests while camping, we have plates/bowls galore. They have been dropped, etc and show no wear. They are easy to clean (we fill the containers with soapy water/clean water when washing away from home) and easy to store -- just remember to stack the bowls on the plates to give the most space for the cups. There is even enough room to spare for keeping our eating utensils in the container. I'd buy them again.

Basically it is too cheesy for me. Bowls are plates with a lip, plates are small and cups feel like if you drop them they will shatter. The idea of it all fitting in a small package is good but the quality is not good enough to consider using if you need something you can depend on in the field.
