The women's MSR Lightning Flash 22 snowshoes provide ultralight efficiency that will give you the traction you need on flat or gently rolling terrain and groomed trails.

Sturdy aluminum 360° Traction frame provides security on any terrain, thanks to teeth integrated in the frame along the outside edges and underfoot
Urethane-impregnated nylon decking is lightweight, waterproof and durable; heel strike area features a welded-on reinforcement patch
SpeedLock™ system offers quick and easy, glove-friendly adjustment of your bindings
Make use of optional instep straps (sold separately) for even greater security; straps stay pliable and easy-to-adjust in cold temperatures, even when wearing mittens
Steel crampons underfoot not only grip well, but also provide stability and reduce heel drift for an efficient gait
All materials are waterproof, so they don't soak up water, freeze and get heavy
Compatible with MSR Lightning Snowshoe Flotation tails (sold separately) for an easy-on/off flotation boost when in deep snow or carrying extra weight
Please note: without tails, recommended load is up to 180 lbs., and with 5 in. tails, recommended load is up to 250 lbs.

I have a pair with olive green color. I used in Yosemite in early 2012. The snowshoes were very easy to put on and secure for more than 6 hours snowshoeing. Some section of the trail didn't have enough snow coverage due to record low snow last winter. Getting off and get on the shoes were very fast and easy. It's also felt very stable on moderate slopes. In the areas where the snow was deep, I was able to stay aloft all the time. I think with my pack and everything I worn, the total weight was about 155 to 160lbs. I'm very happy with my MSR lightening Flash 22inch snowshoes.
