Comments about Smith Cascade Classic Snow Goggles:
I was encouraged to find a basic mask at a resonable price, so I blocked out the question as to why this was so cheap. When skiing in NH in 10 degree weather, I immediately found out why. The googles fogged within a few seconds of being on my face, and with no venting, there was no way to get rid of it. The condensation eventually froze, rendering 2/3rds of my mask useless. I rode down without it on, and immediately bought a mid-range set from the proshop (normally priced $70, but on sale for $40).
The difference was huge, as I could see the fog start to form, then immediately fade away. These goggles might be great for warm weather skiing, but in New England, I wouldn't be caught out with them again.

Comments about Smith Cascade Classic Snow Goggles:
Just before a California ski trip, I found that my old goggles had suffered from dry rot, and I needed a pair at the last minute. As I'd rather buy a high-end pair online after doing a lot of research, I just needed to get something quick and cheap that would last me through this particular trip. I checked REI's website, and saw these were on sale and available at my local outlet. I picked them up, hit the slopes, and found that they were really quite good!
They didn't fog up once during the trip. I wore them over my old Red helmet, and they fit without any problems whatsoever. I thought the might be a bit snug over the helmet, but was pleased to find that they fit very well.
They probably don't have as great a field of view as some of the high-end models, but they worked fine for me. If you're in the market for an inexpensive pair of goggles that will probably get you through an entire season, look no further!

Comments about Smith Cascade Classic Snow Goggles:
Got one in each color for a recent skiing trip. My husband likes the black ones because the lens tint was very minimal--it cut glare without distorting colors (he likes to be able to see things true-to-color). I got the white goggles with the amber lens tint for myself and thought they were great--they fit over my glasses and didn't fog up. I tend to lose goggles so cheap good ones are ideal for me. If/when I lose these goggles, I'll buy the same again.

Comments about Smith Cascade Classic Snow Goggles:
I bought these goggle for my son at the REI store and when I got home to try them out on his helmet found that they just didn't have a long enough strap to really fit nicely on a helmet. So back they went. Would be fine (and a great value) for those snow sports lovers who wear hats.
