I wanted these to wear in cold weather. Mid-zero is not as warm as I'd hoped. I guess mid-zero is 50 degree weather. They would work for that. My Shebeest pedal pushers feel almost as warm. We're in the 20's-30's now and they're definitely not enough The good part is that I could wear these for other things and layer them as there is no chamois. The waist is quite low. If you've a straighter figure they may fit better. Even with the drawstring it is difficult to get the waist to stay in place. It takes fiddling with mid-ride. The reflective stripes are a great addition for winter riding. Overall they're fine and a great price for the close-out. I'd recommend them if the person knew exactly what they are and how they'd fit.

These are soft and warm, perfect for this fall weather. There's a breathable mesh behind the knees and in the crotch. I have a recumbent so these ar perfect as there is no significant padding in the crotch - this may be a disadvantage for others? These are so comfortable I wear them aside from cycling. The only thing I think could be improved is the draw string. There's a stretchy waste band but there's also a draw string and it gets cinched at the mouth sometimes.
