Sitting at the pinnacle of Völkl's new rockered designs, the RTM 84 skis with bindings are ready for the entire mountain.

The Völkl RTM 84 skis with bindings work well if you're sticking to groomers, but they are ideal if you find yourself switching between groomed runs and off-piste terrain
Poplar and beech wood cores extend upward to form the chambers of the Dual Extended Transmission Sidewalls
Reducing chatter and enhancing stability, these chambers support the outside of the skis over the sidewalls and edges
2 titanium laminates run nearly the entire length of the ski, absorb vibrations and increase on-snow sensitivity
Smooth, gradual rise from tips to tails adds maneuverability in soft snow and delivers graceful arcs on groomed terrain
Fully rockered edges become more effective as the ski is turned on edge, creating uninterrupted contact
Motion internal Power Transmission (iPT) Wide Ride 12.0 D bindings put the interface in the ski body, creating the most rigid connection of any Motion system to date
iPT Wide Ride binding interface is 30% wider than the original iPT, providing excellent energy transfer and edge grip for skis 80mm and fatter
Using the toe and heel piece of the Marker Jester and Duke freeride bindings, the iPT 12.0 Wide Ride D bindings securely wraps the boot lug
Extremely lightweight toe and heel components let you maneuver the wide-waisted skis with ease

Had a chance to demo these skis last spring at our locale ski area(Granite Peak). This was my favorite ski of all the manufactures that were there that day. Everyone had this years equipment 2011/2012. Conditions were typical, hard pack, I was blown away with the edge hold even though the ski is rockered, and was very quick edge to edge. My only regret was that there was no Powder to try them in.

Comments about Volkl RTM 84 Skis with Bindings - Men's - 2011/2012:

I ski lake tahoe and whistler and have two powder skis of 104 and 130 waist widths so I needed a carving ski for the many days of hard packed snow both on and off piste. The RTM84 in 176 length is the best carver I have ever had;on bullet proof icy slopes and large icy moguls I had no slippage and handled 5000 vertical feet runs with no fatigue.I have been disappointed with many "ski of the year" reviews in magazines but this time the magazines have it right.

I've been skiing and loving my Volkl AC50's for the past 6 years. Decided to chance the new technology and AC50 replacement the RTM84. WOW. Am I pleased. I was dubious that anything could surpass the AC's but the RTM's rock. They do everything the AC's did only easier and better. Very easy, almost effortless to ski, stable at speed, easy edge to edge. I was worried that the full rocker might wimp out the edge hold but no way. Can you see my smile? Oh, I should mention Im 5'9", have skiied over 50 years and last year skied more than 30 days. Im skiing the 171 cm length.
