These shoes weigh 8.5 oz. REI wrongly lists them at a beastly 1 lb 3.7 oz. If you are looking for a lightweight shoe with a bit more support than a pair of free-runners, these shoes are perfect. At [$], the value is hard to beat. There is a reason these were a Runner's World best buy in September, 2011.

I originally purchased these shoes when I tried on several pairs, I can tell you it was not the color that caught my attention. Very comfortable in the gym, and even surprisingly comfortable on 7.25 trail run through the local desert mountain ranges.

These are very comfortable shoes until you try and tie them. When I pulled them tight, I only had about three inches of lace left to make a knot.

I saw many reviews that said the same....like so many, I wish I would have listened.

These shoes work best those who do not need much foot guidance or arch support. Also for those who have very narrow feet.

For a light-weight road shoe that can be used for 5k, try the Brooks Ghost 4. Couldn't be happier with a running shoe...even though they're a bit ugly.

..its an okay shoe, not enough support but understandably its a different type of shoe for those of us who old runners who no longer want to run on shoes with higher heel....I like it, will really test it in the spriing when i am getting my running program into higher gear...
