Comments about Dynafit Manaslu Lady Of The Summit Randonee Skis - 2011/2012:

I've used this as my primary backcountry ski for 3-4 seasons now. I have tried others and keep coming back to this ski as my favorite.
It is incredibly light. Very good in powder, which is what I like to ski. It does ok in the resort on firm (not icy) but it's best use is powder. I've tried wider skis and unless the snow is super deep (2 or more feet) I prefer this ski. Skins uphill like a dream and with the early rise tip turns as quick as I want on the down and floats well in boot top snow. I prefer a short turn radius ski and in the 161 length I can turn easily (I'm 5'2, 115#) I just returned from a 7 day hut trip in BC and loved how these skis performed. If you want a ski that is truly dedicated to back country use, this is a worthy choice. For mixed resort and back country use a heavier ski may suit you better.
