I love this jacket and am bummed that I can't get in black XL. I usually wear a medium or large, so I bought the large because I wanted it to be just a shell that I could layer under depending on the weather. It's too small in the chest and arms. It has a nice length - all the way to my mid-thigh so it will keep you dry. It has a hood and good pockets. It has a nice shape that looks good on you.

I wanted an ultralight raincoat for travel and hot summers. Ideally, I wanted red. I tried on all the big brands and none of them fit correctly. I am 5"7" and 130lb with square shoulders and arms on the short side.
Since I am a size 10 / medium jacket if I plan to layer (e.g., down sweater), I ordered the Large based upon the two other reviews. It DOES run really small! The large fits really well and I love the color, which is bright red and the fact that it weighs just over 10 ounces.
The fact that I got this marked WAAAY down helps too. Now I hope it breathes, etc.

I could not use it and rebagged it and now it is on a list of things I have to do-not what I had in mind. I have to drive 15 mls to the store to return or pay to return it. I am a size 6-come on-I couldn't even close it and followed the sizing instructions on the website. I am not ordering anything else. Not worth the added time and trouble.
