Women-specific fit is designed for your foot and calf; fabrics and extra insulation are selected for their softness and warmth
Ski easier, ski longer—the structural materials are lighter and more flexible than those used in men's boots
Offering a precise foothold and a progressive forward flex, 3-piece shell optimizes responsiveness for today's relatively short, wide skis
Separate cuff, shell and tongue sections are joined together to create a compliant forward flex with rigid lateral support and resolute rearward support
Compliant forward flex prevents skis from initiating turn too soon; lateral and rearward support provide aggressive skiers with the power to drive skis through the turn
Low cuff hinges allow boots to easily follow the legs' natural movement, efficiently delivering power and leverage to the skis

Highly resilient nylon tongues enhance responsiveness, control and sensitivity to skis and snow surface; they are flex-adjusted for female skiers
Lady fit liners are shaped specifically for women's feet, with tapered heels, roomy forefeet, high insteps and low-profile cuffs
Lightweight, custom-formable liners also feature a microfleece lining, a performance insole and a wrap design that optimizes control of rearfoot volume
Liners are engineered to fit correctly right out of the box, but they can be custom formed as well, a procedure best performed in an REI specialty ski shop
Women-specific cuffs are cut low in back to ensure a comfortable fit for your calf; shim in rear cuff is removable
Each boot has 3 microadjustable aluminum buckles with a wide, easy-to-close profile; inverted bottom buckles won't come loose from contact with snow
Cable instep buckle on each boot minimizes foot sliding, heel lift and shell distortion while flexing, and a specialized adjustment fine-tunes the cable tension
Twin canting adjusts the cuffs to fit the angles of your lower legs, levels the soles of the boots above the skis and offers a versatile range of adjustment

Comments about Dalbello Krypton Storm Ski Boots - Women's - 2011/2012:

I have instructed downhill skiers each season since 1986. I am a Expert skier who is not as agressive anymore but still enjoys skiing off piste and steep terrain. I also participate in weekly recreational downhill race competitions.

What I LOVE About This Boot! I have an excellent boot fitter who recomended this boot for it's versitility in adjusting it's fit to my skiing style for the day.

I can remove "stiffinners" when teaching so I have a more relaxed, upright fit when working with beginners all day...The following day I can add the "stiffinners" for a recreational race or for better control in steep conditions. I have a high arch which was easily accomadated by adding arch supports that come with the boot which are adequate without inserting a custom made insole that most shops attempt to sell customers as an "extra must have" for a "good boot fit".

This boot is for the skier who understands thier equipment and, how to adjust it for maximum use. A reputable skilled boot fitter who desires to sell you the right boot for you vs. the most boot you can afford is ESSENTIAL. Don't buy because it is the most expensive...Buy because you require a high level, versitile boot!

First off, my previous boots were Salomons. I was used to that fit-that a Mondo 25.5 was a 25.5. Dalbellos run big so consider this boot only if you are familiar with Dalbellos. Secondly, the fit on day 1 was great compared to the fit on day 3. The bootfitter I consulted-who worked exclusively with Dalbello-told me why. Dalbello liners pack out quickly. Completely unacceptible for a [$] boot!
