    I wear a size 8 1/2 in womens and my feet are on the narrow side. The S/M fit me great and I love the feel of them. I ordered four pairs and I am tempted to order more. I bought knee high ski socks and these are pretty thin. I like that the merino socks are a bit thicker but not bulky at all. I can wear them with casual shoes and rain boots but I wouldn't use them for heavy hiking.

      I got a few pairs of these last month as an alternative to Smartwool. I actually like them better, because the elastic cuff has a better grip but is still comfortable. They don't slide down in my boots. They are a good weight for daily wear without being too warm.
