Comments about DAKINE Pro II 26L Pack:

First of all, I did receive this as a gift for Christmas, because I asked for it.

It is a great pack all around, and has all the features it says, except for one.
I wanted this back due to the horizontal snowboard carry system. That was the deciding factor for me wanting this pack. I like to do a little bit of hiking to find some good snow, but not any huge back country trips or anything like that. So I wanted this pack to make carrying my board a little easier. (People have complained about their snowboard hitting the back of their legs if they use a vertical carry system.)

WELL WHEN I GOT IT, NO OPTION TO CARRY BOARD HORIZONTALLY!!!! Even the tag attached to the pack when I received it had a picture and details for carrying a snowboard horizontally.

Other than that, it has plenty of space, good strong zippers, and sturdy straps for skis or a board.

I will be taking advantage of REI's great return policy to trade this in for a pack that does have the horizontal snowboard carrying system. (Plus I have the receipt.)
