-I dislike the regular lacing system of most snowboard boots and decided to get the BOA system for Vans. These were recommended to me by a friend (hers are the lavendar with white and gray) because they are comfortable, warm, and true to size.

-I have size 7.5 womens wide feet and I did not feel any pressure on my big toe like other boots I've tried.

-Since boot is black it stays pretty clean. Just wipe off with a towel if any dirt gets on it. So far no yellowing on the white accents even after a season's use (in good snow and bad snow)

-After a days worth of riding, if wearing cotton socks, your feet are pretty much soaked but surprisingly the boot lining itself dries quick and doesn't exhibit any stinky feet smell. (I do have stinky feet!)

-Very happy with my boot purchase and would recommend this style to a friend for the comfort, warmth, and durability.

These are awesome boots and I would have loved to keep them but they were slightly too wide for my bindings! this shouldn't be a problem for most, i'm a female, size 7 boot, with size small union bindings (fits up to a 6.5 or 7). So my main problem was in the width of the boot at the ball of the foot, was just barely too big, so I ended up with a pair of solomons with shrinkage tech. I rode the vans boots for a day though and I can say they are comfy without much breaking in, they are super warm and plush, and have a fair amount of stiffness. I do think the solomon boot caters to my foot a little better though, as my foot is on the narrow side (don't normally wear a narrow shoe, but i did notice a difference in the heel pocket between these two boot manufacturers). So, I'd say if you run a little narrow or are on the edge of a binding size consider another brand, but barring those two things I would strongly reccommend the vans based on comfort. And if you're buying these boots I'm sure you know the boa system is super easy to adjust and being able to adjust the dual zones independently is key for getting a great fit. I really don't mind the lacing system of the solomons though, it's not quite as clean and efficient, but it's overall very comfortable and functional. don't pick your boot for boa alone, comfort and fit is way more important and all boots will feel a little different.

Pleasantly surprised at the performance of the Vans Aura. A great deal for last year's model, as not much was changed in the current version. This boot had mid-stiffness, and with a double boa and independent liner fastening system, has a lot of options for fine-tuning fit. The boot is a little narrow for my foot, but I am confident it'll break in as the season progresses. I highly recommend the Vans Aura.
