Explore and enjoy snowscapes with the MSR Lightning Flash 25 snowshoes, which feature great traction and flotation in a lightweight, agile design.

Sturdy aluminum 360° Traction frame provides security on any terrain, thanks to teeth integrated in the frame along the outside edges and underfoot
Urethane-impregnated nylon decking is lightweight, waterproof and durable; heel strike area features a welded-on reinforcement patch
SpeedLock™ binding system has a wide, flexible strap that crosses the tops of boots to provide a snug fit; cam buckles adjust easily and lock down for fast adjustments
Make use of optional instep straps (sold separately) for even greater security; straps stay pliable and easy-to-adjust in cold temperatures, even when wearing mittens
Steel crampons underfoot not only grip well, they provide stability and reduce heel drift for an efficient gait
All materials are waterproof, so they don't soak up water, freeze and get heavy
Lightning Flotation Tails (sold separately) add buoyancy when walking in deep powder snow or carrying heavy loads
Please note: without tails, recommended load is 120 - 210 lbs., and with 5 in. tails, recommended load is 120 - 270 lbs.

use on mostly flat to rolling ground. but i have no use for them as they will not stay on my footwear.

I bought these on sale last spring and really like them.They offer more flotation than my evo ascents while having plenty of traction for climbing or descending.Once the bindings are adjusted properly ( adjust the toe one or two holes tighter if you are going to be kicking steps into a steep slope) they go on and off very quickly,which is nice in bitter weather.I don't miss having a heel lift as the terrain I shoe in is always changing and constantly adjusting them gets old quickly.I prefer this pair in light powder and the evos work well on more compacted or wetter snow (170 lbs).MSR obviously designs their shoes for real world snowshoeing,not just a walk in the park :-)
