by fromStill waiting for snow - Sizing Review Still waiting for our first snow, so I can't review them on their performance. This review is about the sizing. Even though I wear a 10.5/45 EUR (every other kind of shoe) I ordered an 11/46 EUR due to the thicker socks I wear while skiing. They fit perfectly and are not too snug. Hopefully that helps anyone who is concerned about sizing. Bring on the snow!!!

by fromThe Good, the Bad and the Ugly I used these a dozen times this winter on outings of 12-16 miles. The Good: They were a big improvement over my other boots and seem well made ... kept feet warm and secure. The Bad: Really bothered my foot at the toe crease line, especially the right foot. The Ugly: At the end of the season I noticed a bony growth forming at the base of my right big toe - not cool. I suppose it was just too many miles for my toe to tolerate the painful toe crease of the boot. Needless to say I won't be using them next year. I suggest you try them on in a store and do a lot of foot flexing as you do when skiing.

by fromFollow up review I've worn the boots 3 times now and their perfect. I wear one pair of Merino wool socks and my feet stay warm the entire time I'm out, usually about 90 minutes. I have no complaints.

by fromA good test I really put these new shoes to the test in Colorado. I was skate skiing at Ghost Mt. Ranch near Granby CO and the boots, while not skate specific, had the side support needed and did OK. I am sure they would be ideal for classic. The test was when I was dumb enough to follow my brother-in-law who had classic skis out on a frozen lake. He stayed on top with his wide skis and I sunk to the waist. My ski was turned backwards and came off as I pulled my foot out. I was so afraid that I broke the binding on the ski or ripped the binding on the boot but neither occurred! You never go wrong buying good equipment.
