Comments about Fischer BCX 675 75mm Backcountry Ski Boots:

The boot fits nice and easy to walk around in but when kicking and gliding the right boot flexed right above my toes and pinched them on my right boot and but not my left. True you need to pull laces way apart for ease of entry. A slightly lower placement of the first set of lace hooks would have been better to hold your heel down better to keep it from lifting when kicking and gliding. Otherwise nice boot except for the pinched toe issue.

Comments about Fischer BCX 675 75mm Backcountry Ski Boots:

I have feet that are a bit wide up front, I think. These boots are nice and solid and (for my modest skiing abilities, anyway) beefy enough to control Madshus Epochs on modest terrain. The sole is quite stiff: good for control, bad for walking (clunky), but that seems like a decent trade-off. The buzz-kill is the toebox, which is quite narrow (crushed small toes even after sizing up extra) and has a terrible pinch on the top of the toes when flexing. Over a 2.5-day loop in the Pasayten, this took much of the skin of the tops of my toes on both feet. With well over 50 miles on the boot, there are no signs of that being broken in/resolved. Not cool. I suspect that if I could size up enough to avoid the pinch or get enough width (I'm already close to the biggest size), the boot would be far too long.

Comments about Fischer BCX 675 75mm Backcountry Ski Boots:

Paired with the Rottafella cable binding, this is a good, solid setup. One boot pinches my toes when it flexes, the other doesn't. Also, it has plastic lace eyes - one broke after just 2 months of use. Still, I like these boots a lot.

Comments about Fischer BCX 675 75mm Backcountry Ski Boots:

These boots are sturdy, warm and just flexible enough to glide and climb. My only problem is the lacing.....when you take them off you need to make sure to open the laces as far as you can so you can get them back on. All in all, they were a good purchase. I haven't cross contry skied in years, primarily because it was taken over by the cheese eater set. Now, with a pair of Marquette Backcountry skis, I can avoid seeing anyone. I have also used these boots to climb hills with a Hammerhead sled, and they work well for that purpose also.
