I use this for exercise, but my kids (ages 8 & 10) and my wife, use it for fun. I guess it's fun for me too!
Service and delivery comments:
I wrote a previous review and stated that I'd purchased a Thruster V10 from thrusterlandpaddle.com. While I was skeptical, the product I received is excellent and definately an upgrade to the wood landpaddle they make. It is a small operation, but customer service has been excellent. They've offered solutions to height issues and land paddles for the whole family. I highly recommend. Just be patient with the response time.

Purchased this along with the Skupboard from REI and I'm totally addicted. I very quickly burned through the "foot" of the land paddle.
While this offers great traction and efficiency on many different surfaces, it wares out fast. I went to the Thruster website to find replacements and have been less than impressed. It seems to be a pretty small operation.
Still, I took a chance and ordered a Thruster V10 paddle, which is all they sell. But McAfee told me they weren't a "trusted site", so be careful. I paid with Paypal and hope to receive it soon (fingers crossed).
If I must use the Thruster IV, then I might try to find a local rubber manufacturer to make the feet or I might try to rig a modified Kong dog chew toy at the end to get the same feel.
Overall, this is very fun, especially for those who don't live near water or are just land people. Great workouts too.

very basic product, seemed like the put some sort of plumbing rubber device on the end and called it a product. not very smooth when riding, kinda goofy feeling. do not recommend
