velcro AND elastic at wrists, zippered pockets, storm flap with velcro AND snaps (top and bottom), zippered chest pocket for Walkman (has spot to thread cord through), chest pocket is also a perfect spot to store eye glasses, best of all IT REALLY IS WATERPROOF AND WINDPROOF.
Can wear comfortably over multiple layers, even with a down vest, and still have room to move. Have stayed warm and dry (below freezing with a stiff wind and snow) wearing just a long sleeved shirt and sweatshirt under this jacket while riding a kickbike scooter. Couldn't do THAT with my previous jacket.
The one thing that would make it PERFECT would be relective stripes or piping to help with visibility at night. It's a lovely dark charcoal gray but I feel invisible especially in low light conditions or bad weather.
