Comments about Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
I am a dog runner logging between 18 and 70 mi/week for work and play combined. I've worn these shoes for two marathons and have never had a blister or black toenail. They are amazingly lightweight and almost make me feel lighter as I put them on! I bought these shoes to step down from the over-corrective-too-padded shoes I have been wearing for the last 5 years, and after a little getting used to (building up my foot and calf muscles, etc) I'm so glad I did! Running is so much more fun with these shoes! I am planning on stepping down again to a shoe with even less padding, but these have been sooo great for the last year. (And I will probably miss them.) HOWEVER, I do wish there was a little more space in the toe box and the mesh on the outside near where the shoe bends keeps ripping. After about 100 miles I get little holes. Luckily, REI replaced them once and now on my 2nd pair, it's happening again. :(

Comments about Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Road-Running Shoes - Women's:
I purchased these shoes about 5 or 6 months ago to replace my bulkier Mizuno running shoes. I really do love the Kinvara 2's, but after a month they had holes in the upper mesh covering of the shoe. This is bad seeing that I have not been running nearly the amount that I normally do.
The overall structure of the shoe upper seems flimsy, which may or may not be an issue for you. Another complaint is the width of this shoe. I have a narrow heel and midfoot, and when I wear these shoes the laces are as tight as can be, with the flimsy material of the shoe bunching a little. The toe box has sufficient room for those with normal width.
I comfortably run 13 miles+ in these shoes. I suffer plantar fasciitis and worried about "minimalist" shoes but wear these with no problem. I love the color options and how bright they are.
Overall, decent shoe but Saucony needs to do some work to make them longer lasting. Would buy another pair if money wasn't an issue (as replacing more frequently is necessary with these).
